Denim Spring

Happy Friday, Lovies!

I had a half day at work so I used the extra time to enjoy this gorgeous Spring day and of course took a few shots for you 🙂

It all started last year but this season denim is back full force! It’s one of the most comfortable, universal materials out there and I love styling up a casual denim look with a little silky twist. Today I’m wearing a Gap denim jacket, Esprit hoodie and bag, Miss 60 denim skirt I have from my teens, Triuph stalkings for a silky feel and comfy American Eagle flats. I have a handmade silk Striessing scarf in my bun and I’m wearing H&M shades I got because of the frames 😂 Jewelry is my favorite My Name Necklace from white gold and basic earnings from Zara.

Be on the look out for a tutorial on how to do a “Scarf bun” coming up on the blog soon! I hope everyone is going to have an epic weekend!!

A rainy Thursday

Hey Lovies! Unfortunately, winter is not quite over yet. Today I had a lot of errands to do but I decided to take a few quick snaps on my way out. Comfy and warm are a priority when it comes to rainy Thursdays 🙂

I’m wearing my favorite riding boots from Guess, Jessica Simpson wool coat (no one is happier for the return of the bell sleeves more than this gal!), basic Zara v-neck sweater, Gucci denim, Oscar shades and a spacious bag from Nine West.

I hope everyone is getting ready for Spring and making the best out of the gloomy weather!

Flannels and pearls

Hey, Lovies, Friday is almost here!

As I mentioned earlier this week, my schedule is slowly getting back to normal, meaning I’ll be back to regular posting before you know it!

I took some shots for you during my lunch break as it was a casual laid back day 🙂

I’m wearing a Zara sweater on top of a basic flannel shirt from American Eagle, Versace denim (regular fit, dark wash), Guess riding boots and long faux pearl necklaces to complete the look.

Hope everyone is having a great week and some plans for the weekend ;]

An office weekend

Greetings, Lovies! I hope everyone had a great weekend 🙂 I had to work both Saturday and Sunday so I just used the evenings to relax and watch some movies. Remember last month’s Coats entry? The hunt is over, darlings! After all, a woman is never too busy to shop! I scored some other cool things on sale but I’m absolutely in love with this gorgeous Zara trench coat 🙂

It’s the perfect basic coat as the solid grey-black mix makes every color and accessory pop. I took advantage of the fact that it was the weekend so I retired the high heels for my comfy Nine West riding boots from the Vitage America Collection (featured in September’s Vogue) and skinny jeans (low waist) from H&M. It was chilly outside so I added a scarf from Express with a little bling and my Guess bag for some color.

Follow me on social media for daily updates and random posts (@SilviaMelange) and I hope everyone has an easy going week!

Winter coats

Happy Wednesday, Lovies! Today I’ll be sharing the coats I’m currently wearing the most.Winter coats are an investment and an essential part of every woman’s closet, so there is no room for cutting corners. It’s something I usually wear more than one season so I don’t always follow the current craze, trending out on the streets.

A few weeks ago I realized I need a new coat! I wasn’t sure what I’m even looking for, just knew I need one. Upon inspecting my closet, I realized I’m a fan of solid, classic colors and designs, black being the dominant color. I also discovered a few pieces I had forgotten all about but I have to wait for temperatures to get a little above zero before showing you. Cold weather sure has its limits!

I took a stroll around town to check out a few of my favorite stores and I even picked out a few pieces. I was reaching for my wallet when it hit me- I had two black coats on my arm! Black! Again! I quickly returned them and left the store. I know black is easy to style up and it’s a classic but come on now! On the way home I decided I’m going to create a little “gallery” in an attempt to figure out what to “hunt” for next time I get out there.

As I’ve said before, you can’t pass on a good camel coat! It’s chic and feminine, fits both skirts and trousers, even the right pair of denim! Below is my favorite one from Zara, worn as a statement and as a fabulous finish to my office look.

Next on the list are my can’t-stand-it-cold aka, the cockroach jackets. I only wear them layered up on days like today (-12°C). I’ll start with the Benetton and how in love I am with this color: pink, red or a gorgeous mix between the two, it’s all about the light, baby!

Next is my Gina Benotti- an Italian designer with many affordable pieces. This cozy light-grey jacket with a pop of color is my current favorite and it never fails to keep me warm. The design compliments the body in a new way, making a cockroach jacket acceptable to wear to the office ❤

My classic black Guess trench coat can be worn as a statement piece because of the gorgeous buttons but also, semi-casual with chunky heels and designer denim (last year’s Gucci, pictured below). Styled up with a scarf or a wool dress, it’s one of my go-to’s:

My cream Zara wind-stopper never fails when it snows! The classic black Calvin Klein adds glam to the urban cold and Esprit does the job even up in the mountains!

Another black one, this time a wool coat. My beloved Jessica Simpson bell-sleeve. Sometimes a girl needs her statement coat and others, just a scarf does the trick.

We all have that one transition coat! You know, the moment when all of your winter gems make you sweat but it’s too early for a cardigan? Well, this gorgeous Zara is exactly what you need in your life!

There are the times when you can’t wait so you have to trust a wool sweather or a dress, in order to wear a Spring-ish Banana republic (black) coat but it’s all worth it!

Can’t help but mention my favorite transition coat- a custom made grey wool awesomeness:

I believe it’s now clear what I need- colors!!  Stay tuned on my coat situation as I’m also doing the 100 Happy Days challenge on Instagram (an explanation material on that is coming up) so you just know a new coat will make it up on that board ;]

A casual weekend look

Hey Lovies! I had a crazy week and I’m so glad the weekend is finally here! It’s the end of January and that means two things: winter sales and Valentine’s Day shopping. I took a few pics for all of you on my way to the mall today 🙂

I’m wearing a berry colored cardigan from S. Oliver, basic black top from Zara, H&M (super skinny, low waist) denim and Guess ankle boots. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Winter night out

Hello Lovies!

I know I’ve been absent this week so to make it up to you I’m sharing a winter party look from this past weekend! I’m wearing a Sisley knit dress I fell in love with while I was supposed to be window shopping, Zara basic top underneath, H&M ankle boots and a bag I found in a vintage store a few years back. Lately I’m into lipsticks, here I’m wearing deep red from Mac   ❤

Camel coat obsession (first day back on the grind)

Happy New Year guys!

The holidays are over and today is the day we get out of our pajamas and head back to the office. Here’s a quick shot from this morning, dropping Tyra off at doggy care.

I’m loving the camel coat craze! It’s one of those universal pieces every woman should have in her closet, regardless if it’s a current trend or not. The camel coat goes perfect with skirts and throusers, in and out of the office. Mine is from Zara, combined with RagBone denim, s. Oliver boots and a cute red bag I found in a vintage shop almost 2 years ago.

Wishing you all a successful new year!

Bright lights, late nights

The other day I had to attend a Chritmas party right after work. I had no time to go home and change so in the morning, I had to chose wisely! Decided on a wool H&M cardigan, worn as a dress, styled up with a thin Zara belt in deep brown to add a more defined shape. Paired up with basic warm leggings and Nine West riding boots from the Vintage America collection. Comfy, warm and stylish- my three MUST’s for winter holiday parties!
Cheers, Silvia Mèlange

Saturday in Wonderland

Happy Sunday, lovely readers! The temperatures are getting lower by the hour and I’m convinced  yesterday was the last sunny day of the year. I visited my favorite bridge and spent sometime in nature with my doggy 🙂

Of course I took a few shots for you guys! I had to be quick because Tyra can’t sit still for long 🙂

I’m wearing a deep blue Express sweater, basic jeans I ripped myself, Le Coq Sportif velcro shoes , layered necklaces from Zara and my absolute favorite Guess confidential bag 🙂

If you are hosting your family for Christmas like I am, keep a close eye on the blog this week! I’ll be sharing Christmas meal recipes and we’ll cover everything from appetizers to deserts!

Guess Confidential.

Ако и вие ще сте домакин на цялото семейство тази Коледа, следете блога ми; тази седмица ще споделям с Вас всякакви идеи за коледни вкусотии от предястия до десерти!

С обич, Силвия Меланж
