Sunday Brunch

🇧🇬 below/ български превод

Astronomical Spring might be on its way but today we had a nasty 4°C weather and even snow in the early evening hours. I had an outfit ready to wear and shoot for you Lovies, but in such conditions on a Sunday it’s practically impossible to get me out of the house. Instead of being a couch potato, I decided to throw a little Sunday brunch with some german food and good friends. We also had a special guest- Cookie, the white spitz!

You have to exhaust her with games if you want a decent shot of her cute self 😻

I also braved the cold and took a few snaps of my casual Sunday look (outfit details below):

I’m kinda proud of myself because my face doesn’t suggest how cold I actually was, even tho the whole shoot didn’t take more than 10 minutes!

German schnitzel with handkäse

✨Outfit details✨
Victoria’s Secret hoodie (supermodel off duty collection)

H&M light sweater in ink grey

FishBone distressed denim

Ugg boots- Classic tall boot in chestnut
How was your Sunday? Are you as ready for Spring as I am? Let me know in the comments below 😉

Happy New Year + Insta update

Happy New Year, Lovies! May your 2017 be filled with health, love and new adventures!
My December was crazy packed! Between the holiday parties, last minute shopping and cooking, I need a break after the break! I managed to visit every available Christmas market in Germany and a few festivals here in Bulgaria. Christmas Day was reserved for family time and smiles!

I clocked in the New Year in the hottest spot in town, 12 stories up with a panorama view of the fireworks over the city (that’s why you should follow my snapchat @SilviaMelange).

Many changes are coming, as 2017 is officially here, so be sure to subscribe to my blog and follow me on social media.

Fashion Week Sofia 2016

Sofia Fashion Week Autumn-Winter 2016 wrapped up this last Friday. It was a glamorous event, I highly recommend you visit if you happen to be in town.

This was the first Fashion Week I’m attending that not only has a dress code, but it’s strictly formal! What happened to self expression and street style?

A little bird told me this is only the second year Fashion Week Sofia is officially happening! They clearly have a lot more to learn and I have to admit, I went in with no clue what to expect! Despite the fact the organizers think of it more as a beauty contest and I’m fairly certain some “fashionistas” recycled their HS prom outfits (I got the pics to prove it), the actual show was glamorous and not over the top. I only wish there was more fashion and personal style, compared to showing off and posing…

Now the positive parts:

I loved the variety of people I met and their views on the collections and fashion in general! It was a great insight of the fashion scene in an “irrelevant”country, getting its first taste of fashion in general. I couldn’t have thought of a better location to set the mood for the event.

With a few exceptions, most of the models were actually models and could have walked Marc Jacobs in New York just as well ( miss whatever of whatever, love handles are unacceptable and for God’s sake, either learn to walk in heels or just request flats!). So here’s a few fashion NO-NO- JUST-DONT’s:

Aside of the why- the- f#ck-did-you-wear-that and do-you-own-a-mirror girls, there was some form of fashion:

I’m not gonna fail to mention the catastrophic closing of the first night (International designers), with a tasteless display of animal cruelty; a pair of the newest Dior sunglasses, modeled by the most “famous” local h0es (yes, the zero is purposely put there), modeling with a sphynx cat who was mortified!

Although, copy-cats make me sad, I am happy to report, a few designers actually do posses creativity and originality! All is not lost and I’m looking forward to seeing more IDEAS!

The after party on closing night was awesome with FashionTV’s very own Ania J and we danced on the runway with the models.

With that being said, Fashion Week Sofia managed to pleasantly surprise me with glamour and fabulousness!

My month in Instagram posts *June*

Hello, Lovies!

Welcome to your monthly Insta update! June was a very eventful month for me, so there’s a lot to catch you up on.

I kicked off by celebrating my birthday. My s/o completely outdid himself this year! It all started in the morning when I found the gorgeous Zara dress I was eyeing a week prior, carefully placed on the freshly made bed, paired up with cute statement heels from Bershka. The day progressed with family time and more gifts, followed by a surprise party, attended by my dearest friends currently in the city❣I felt truly special and it was my best adult birthday so far!

The day after my birthday, I celebrated 5.5 year anniversary with my s/o which was another unforgettable evening!

A week later I was surprised by a dear friend who flew from the U.S. to visit me. Highly recommend some girl time matched with fabulous outfits!

This month I didn’t have to travel as much so I had the opportunity to cook more and invest some time into developing our YouTube channel, the link to which will be posted soon so stay tuned!

The second part of the month was just as amazing. I got the oportunity to help and participate in Pride Bulgaria. Sadly, the LGBT community in Bulgaria still faces discrimination and challenges on daily bassis, so I believe it’s truly important to support events like Pride, regardless of your personal sexual preferences. Meeting the fabulous Elza Parini was just an added bonus!

The following weekend I spent the day with my dad and spoiled him a little with Queen feat. Adam Lambert concert tickets for Father’s Day!

I also got to experience virtual reality for a first time and that was quite surreal!

Welcome to the month of pools, beaches, icy drinks and long warm nights!

In July, I’ll be focusing on festival fashions and trends, the return of my weekly recipe section and the little things that make us smile! Follow me on Instagram and Snapchat (@SilviaMelange) for daily good vibes and updates.

Are you ready to have fun?!

Xoxo, Silvia Mèlange
