Women’s Day look

Yes, I know I’m a day late but Happy Women’s Day! How was everyone’s day yesterday? I had a fabulous day- I was off work, a lovely gesture from my boss and I  went out for drinks with the squad! There were also surprises from my s/o when I came home ❤ Don’t you just love being a woman?! I also took a few snaps of my girls-night-out look on my way out. I’m wearing a custom made Little black dress. I fell in love with the shimmery gold hints blending with the solid black base and purchased the fabric from a small shop in Venice last year, before I was even sure what I’m going to use it for 🙂 It fits perfectly with a Yves Saint Laurent clutch and Guess ankle booties for an effortless and chic week night out.

What did you do on our day? What did you wear? Let me know in the comments below 🙂

Stay glamorous, my Lovies!

Grey fever

Happy Friday, Lovies!

I am obsessed with the all grey outfit trend that’s spreading like wild fire! I’m sure many of you notice the color more and more in Vogue and on the latest runways. “Grey is a boring color and it looks dull” – the most friquent argument against it I’m hearing. But as we see time and time again over the last few months, when styled right it’s fun and chic, perfect for an office look and casual street style. There are various ways to look fab in an all grey outfit! You can add a pop of color in shoes or accessories, pair it with statement jewelry, belt it and more. For today’s ootd, I chose to mix textures and add a splash of black here and there 🙂

I’m wearing Express fishnet sweater with a basic black tank underneath, skinny denim from H&M (super skinny, low waist) and Guess riding boots.

Do you, Lovies, adore grey as much as I do? What are your favorite ways to style it up? Let me know in the comments! I hope everyone has an amazing weekend!

Flannels and pearls

Hey, Lovies, Friday is almost here!

As I mentioned earlier this week, my schedule is slowly getting back to normal, meaning I’ll be back to regular posting before you know it!

I took some shots for you during my lunch break as it was a casual laid back day 🙂

I’m wearing a Zara sweater on top of a basic flannel shirt from American Eagle, Versace denim (regular fit, dark wash), Guess riding boots and long faux pearl necklaces to complete the look.

Hope everyone is having a great week and some plans for the weekend ;]

An office weekend

Greetings, Lovies! I hope everyone had a great weekend 🙂 I had to work both Saturday and Sunday so I just used the evenings to relax and watch some movies. Remember last month’s Coats entry? The hunt is over, darlings! After all, a woman is never too busy to shop! I scored some other cool things on sale but I’m absolutely in love with this gorgeous Zara trench coat 🙂

It’s the perfect basic coat as the solid grey-black mix makes every color and accessory pop. I took advantage of the fact that it was the weekend so I retired the high heels for my comfy Nine West riding boots from the Vitage America Collection (featured in September’s Vogue) and skinny jeans (low waist) from H&M. It was chilly outside so I added a scarf from Express with a little bling and my Guess bag for some color.

Valentine’s Day look

Happy belayed Valentine’s Day, Lovies!

Single or not, I hope everyone had a lovely Sunday! My s/o and I are not big on all the craziness surrounding February the 14th, so we had a lovely dinner at home, followed by some drinks at our favorite bar. I wore a custom made wool dress, my favorite Guess ankle boots and a faux fur clutch I found at a local market. The gorgeous details on my dress paired perfectly with my Swarovski earrings and I added my favorite Lokai bracelet for balance 😉

Winter coats

Happy Wednesday, Lovies! Today I’ll be sharing the coats I’m currently wearing the most.Winter coats are an investment and an essential part of every woman’s closet, so there is no room for cutting corners. It’s something I usually wear more than one season so I don’t always follow the current craze, trending out on the streets.

A few weeks ago I realized I need a new coat! I wasn’t sure what I’m even looking for, just knew I need one. Upon inspecting my closet, I realized I’m a fan of solid, classic colors and designs, black being the dominant color. I also discovered a few pieces I had forgotten all about but I have to wait for temperatures to get a little above zero before showing you. Cold weather sure has its limits!

I took a stroll around town to check out a few of my favorite stores and I even picked out a few pieces. I was reaching for my wallet when it hit me- I had two black coats on my arm! Black! Again! I quickly returned them and left the store. I know black is easy to style up and it’s a classic but come on now! On the way home I decided I’m going to create a little “gallery” in an attempt to figure out what to “hunt” for next time I get out there.

As I’ve said before, you can’t pass on a good camel coat! It’s chic and feminine, fits both skirts and trousers, even the right pair of denim! Below is my favorite one from Zara, worn as a statement and as a fabulous finish to my office look.

Next on the list are my can’t-stand-it-cold aka, the cockroach jackets. I only wear them layered up on days like today (-12°C). I’ll start with the Benetton and how in love I am with this color: pink, red or a gorgeous mix between the two, it’s all about the light, baby!

Next is my Gina Benotti- an Italian designer with many affordable pieces. This cozy light-grey jacket with a pop of color is my current favorite and it never fails to keep me warm. The design compliments the body in a new way, making a cockroach jacket acceptable to wear to the office ❤

My classic black Guess trench coat can be worn as a statement piece because of the gorgeous buttons but also, semi-casual with chunky heels and designer denim (last year’s Gucci, pictured below). Styled up with a scarf or a wool dress, it’s one of my go-to’s:

My cream Zara wind-stopper never fails when it snows! The classic black Calvin Klein adds glam to the urban cold and Esprit does the job even up in the mountains!

Another black one, this time a wool coat. My beloved Jessica Simpson bell-sleeve. Sometimes a girl needs her statement coat and others, just a scarf does the trick.

We all have that one transition coat! You know, the moment when all of your winter gems make you sweat but it’s too early for a cardigan? Well, this gorgeous Zara is exactly what you need in your life!

There are the times when you can’t wait so you have to trust a wool sweather or a dress, in order to wear a Spring-ish Banana republic (black) coat but it’s all worth it!

Can’t help but mention my favorite transition coat- a custom made grey wool awesomeness:

I believe it’s now clear what I need- colors!!  Stay tuned on my coat situation as I’m also doing the 100 Happy Days challenge on Instagram (an explanation material on that is coming up) so you just know a new coat will make it up on that board ;]

A casual weekend look

Hey Lovies! I had a crazy week and I’m so glad the weekend is finally here! It’s the end of January and that means two things: winter sales and Valentine’s Day shopping. I took a few pics for all of you on my way to the mall today 🙂

I’m wearing a berry colored cardigan from S. Oliver, basic black top from Zara, H&M (super skinny, low waist) denim and Guess ankle boots. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Merry Christmas, Lovies! I know I’m technically late but I think everyone understands and prefers to spend time with their family and loved ones! Here’s a few shots from Christmas Day! I’m wearing a Sisley knit dress, H&M butterfly belt, basic black leggings, Nine West riding boots from the Vintage America Collection and my Guess confidential bag. I’m also experimenting with berry lips from Mac I got as a Christmas gift 🙂

Saturday in Wonderland

Happy Sunday, lovely readers! The temperatures are getting lower by the hour and I’m convinced  yesterday was the last sunny day of the year. I visited my favorite bridge and spent sometime in nature with my doggy 🙂

Of course I took a few shots for you guys! I had to be quick because Tyra can’t sit still for long 🙂

I’m wearing a deep blue Express sweater, basic jeans I ripped myself, Le Coq Sportif velcro shoes , layered necklaces from Zara and my absolute favorite Guess confidential bag 🙂

If you are hosting your family for Christmas like I am, keep a close eye on the blog this week! I’ll be sharing Christmas meal recipes and we’ll cover everything from appetizers to deserts!

Guess Confidential.

Ако и вие ще сте домакин на цялото семейство тази Коледа, следете блога ми; тази седмица ще споделям с Вас всякакви идеи за коледни вкусотии от предястия до десерти!

С обич, Силвия Меланж

Catching up (and spoilers)

Hey guys! I want to start off by apologizing I was gone for two whole weeks! I don’t think I’ve ever been this busy in my life! Good news is I’m back to regular posting, so stay tuned for an article this week! I’ll be sharing some personal observations and experiences from the business world  and I’m working on a Halloween piece for a tbt 🙂

Yesterday was my first official full day off and you know I use every opportunity I get to travel around. I went to Bankya, a lovely suburb of Sofia. I wore a custom made jacket, transformed distressed denim, Le Coq Sportif velcroe tennis shoes and my trusted Guess Confidential chain crossbody bag in color rose.
